YRE International Competition 2021-2022

The 2022 YRE International Competition received more than 230 entries from 35 countries, showcasing young reporters' investigations into environmental issues affecting their communities and the wider world. Entries explored topics including ocean pollution, wildlife conservation, forest fires, climate anxiety and pollution from electronic cigarettes. The International Jury recognised outstanding environmental journalism across articles, photography, video and international collaboration, assessing entries on their investigation, originality, technical quality and dissemination.
