The Litter Less Campaign engaged 80 scouts from two South Africa Scout groups in Durban and Plettenberg Bay, supported by WESSA. Through a YRE methodology workshop, scouts explored local waste issues using educational games and hands-on learning. They were trained to investigate, research, propose, and report, and began planning their own youth-led waste projects.

A key highlight was a clean-up in Plettenberg Bay, applying YRE principles in the field. Another action, held at Christopher Nxumalo Primary School, aligned with International Coastal Clean-Up Day, combining waste audits with student-led clean-ups. In total, the campaign reached 500 people through local outreach and generated 100 entries for pre-selection. With tools like the WESSA waste audit and LLC resources, the campaign empowered scouts to take meaningful action toward a cleaner environment.
