In Turkey, for the last 20 years, the new rurals/new pioneers who started back-to-the-land movement have applied alternative models against ecological apocalypse. New rurals are certain that by 2030, the world will struggle with the problems of drought, famine, climate crisis, immigration, diseases and etc., invite everyone immediately to have eco-consciousness!

Öztürk Sarıca “Lisinia Nature” in Burdur:

By use of dry agriculture raises aromatic plants, runs the projects of anti-cancer, education on ecological living, wildlife rehabilitation etc.

Nardane Kuşçu “Narköy Ecological Hotel and Education Center” in Kocaeli:

1200 types of local seeds including 92 tomatoes (some older than 100 years) are stored, ecological farming etc.

Aysun Sökmen “Gündönümü Farm” in Çerkezköy:

She increases the amount of the organic substance in the soil by rainwater harvesting, using animal manure etc.

Melek Nur Dudu, Durukan Dudu and Volkan Büyükgüngör “Anatolian Pastures” in Çanakkale:

Savory Institute heals the soil with holistic management and regenerative agriculture.

İlhan Koçulu “Boğatepe Ecovillage” in Kars:

In Zavot Cheese Museum more than thirty local cheese types, that are made from pasture animals, are preserved.
