An estimated 8 million tons of plastic ends up in our oceans every year. Marine plastic pollution comprises of single-use plastics such polystyrene, face mask, plastic bags, plastic containers and plastic bottles. People often treat monsoon drains as rubbish bins as the waste gets washed off immediately. Unfortunately, they fail to realize these waste cause flash floods, waterborne diseases such as dengue as it is a breeding ground for mosquitoes. This rubbish also ends in our rivers and finally the ocean.

Let's not forget we only have one Earth!
