Gardens Bloom Once a Year…

Kazakhstan : 19-21 years old

Population of Novodolinskiy village monitors the cleanliness of their “home“: people arrange a variety of clean-up events. Most part of them are hardworking people. Almost everyone has a suburban area or a garden. There are three community gardens on the territory of our village. The best one of them is “Flower Garden“. Summer residents are concerned not only about their crops, but also about the neatness of their sites. They take out all the garbage that had accumulated over the summer. And guess where? No, unfortunately not dozens of kilometers away to the specially designated landfills, but very close. They established a special area twenty meters away from the community where they’ve been dropping off garbage for several years. It is sad that people do not think about the consequences of this. Indeed, over time garbage will inevitably begin to decompose, and toxic substances will get into the soil and groundwater. Therefore, all the toxins get into the vegetables, fruits and berries grown in suburban areas. And people peacefully eat such “miracle“ fruits and vegetables…
